When You Should Respond to Comments on Your Blog
Some Bloggers do not
respond to those who post comments on their Blog, they think it is
"unprofessional" but in reality, it is unprofessional not to respond at times.
Now then, some comments are a little trite and basically your
"Drive-By-Shooting" comment posts. Some hope to post an additional link to their
websites.
Some blogging networks give
folks points for how many comments they make and so folks make lots of
meaningless comment posts. Why, well because they are after their 25 pts and
they do not really care much about anything else. Thus, responding to those
posts is senseless, because they do not care about the topic anyway, most likely
they liked the catchy title and thus, clicked on the link and now they are there
they are determined to leave their little graffiti post.

Of course, what is worse is when a Blogger leaves a 1/2 paragraph comment type
post and everyone leaves trite replies, because they were tricked into clicking
on the blog in the first place. Then this clutters up the social networking
sites and the industry blogs too for no reason and due to senseless dribble.
There is nothing noble, good or wonderful about that.
Those who are seriously
responding to your article, topic or post ought to have a courtesy reply and you
should comment on their comments especially if they ask a question. I guarantee
you that if you leave a post at any of my articles on my blog that I will indeed
comment if it appears that you are seriously interested, and I will do it
without fail. Why you ask, because, I was serious when I posted it.
